Accommodations in Isla Cristina

The Cristina Island is a small village overlooking the sea at the “Costa de la Luz”, giving honor to it’s name as this village enjoys over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year.
All the streets of this fisher village are flowing towards the sea, over there you can walk and visit places like The way of flowers or the Courtyard House San Francisco, the Natural Park of the Marshes and one of the traditions is to visit the fish market. Apart from tourism is this the basic income of the population.
The Cristina Island has 12 kilometers of sandy and golden beaches, divided into ten appropriate beaches for all kind of tastes. The most known Islands are Islantilla, Cayman and Punta Redondela.
Punta Cayman for example, is a great extension surrounded by the vegetation from the area and houses mostly nudist tourism.
The Redondela is protected from the wind by rows of hurdle which makes it very pleasant to walk along the beach, and the beach of Islantilla is the most urban one with golf courses, malls and other things, tough with a balance of respect for the environment, without alter the area.
As for the nightlife, it’s not excessively strident, in July they celebrate the festivals of Carmen, although it’s strong point is in February with the celebration of the carnivals.
During the summer, there are some pubs where you can enjoy yourself and you will likely find the youth enjoying the music and the typical “Botellón” near the beach.
