Gandia has one of the most popular beaches in the Valencia during the summern community. A wide beach with fine clean sand, blue waters bathe the shoreline until you glimpse Mount Montgó. The warm water lacks strong waves, making it ideal for swimming as the temperature remains constant throughout the year.At the entrance to the gate of Gandía one can enjoy the fishing; it is common to find oneself among tourists with rods in their hands. In addition, it is one of the most beautiful paths to take along the wall to visit the lighthouse.
Around the streets of Riu, Major and La Plaça we can visit the medieval center of the city; the church of Santa Maria, the Ducal Palce and the City Hall are other interesting places to see in the town. You cant forget to eat a fideuà; it is said that Gandia is the cradle where this famous dish was born. Cocas and empanadillas are other specialties of the region.
On the beach there are beautiful areas like el Grau, los palmerales, the wide seaside path it is a fun place and although oriented towards family style tourism, one can enjoy the nightlife in its discos and clubs.
For families with little ones, look for a place to stay on Mallorca Street, close to the well known apartments Las Américas where beds come equipped with rails and a childrens park is open every afternoon.
