Hotel The Mitre
With period charm, but combining a bright and modern interior, this 200 year old hotel is one of the oldest in the city. In the heart of the city centre, it stands next to Manchester Cathedral and on Exchange Square. The MEN Arena and Victoria train station are within 3 minutes walk and Piccadilly station is a 10-minute walk away. Selfridges and Harvey Nichols stores are directly opposite the hotel. The hotel is an ideal destination for both leisure and business. It boasts a bar, a restaurant serving contemporary dishes and free Wi-Fi in public areas. The hotel provides an ideal venue for celebrations and it is an approved licensed venue for Civil Wedding Ceremonies. In addition, wedding guests are able to use the Cathedral gardens for photographs. Guest rooms and suites vary in size and have individual styles and are equipped with a TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

Clean nice hotel. Cheap, good breakfast. Would have liked a double bed. Doesn\'t feature room service/mini bar etc. but I never use these so not bothered.
