A Bargain for what I paid
    Glenn - Sep 26, 2023

Stayed at Hotel Jaime 1 for 3 days, 2 nights last weekend. I read reviews before I came thinking OMG where am I going too but have to say I am dumbfounded and some of the issues people say they had. My Mum, Brother and 2 Nieces also stayed. It is a big complex with several blocks so a big hotel. The reception was always busy with people checking in but when I arrived I was lucky as I got a taxi and beat the transfer coaches of the tour operators to the hotel so check on was a breeze. The rooms, yes are a little dated but spotless clean and the bed was comfy. Plenty of storage space with a big wardrobe and drawers. I booked a pool view room and was allocated block one room 4101. The room had a great view. We went Full Board and always found something decent to eat. Plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Will you get English Sausages, nope and yes I actually did hear somebody complaining at reception because there were no English sausages. There was me thinking we were in Spain but apparently people can't live without an English sausage even on holiday. Anyway if that's what you want Plenty of restaurants less than 5 min walk where you will get it. The complex is a mix of Irish, British and Spanish guests. Pools were great, never packed and could play about. The slides were fun too. Never had an issues each day getting sunbeds and there were 5 of us. Didn't have to dash down at 7am to put towels down even though some people did. Staff we interacted with were polite and pleasant. Big shout out to Paco who works on the pool bar. Also smiling and gives great recommendations and measures in the drinks. Hotel is in a great location, less than 5 minutes to a supermarket, bars, restaurants. The beach is a shirt 10 minutes walk. All in all really enjoyed the stay especially given I paid £250 less for my stay here including flights than somewhere we were looking at going to in the UK.

This hotel is excellent value for money, food good with a lot of variety. The only complaint is the hotel was full and in 6 days the terraces around the pool were not cleaned and were very dirty

Not bad at all. Clean rooms, clean facilities, decent food options (I went half board), activities for children, clean pools, and good customer service. Close enough to the beach (if this interests you). Not much to fault, so giving a scarce 5 stars!
